Extension headquarters European Courts of Justice - 13.052

Program

Complete mission for C & S engineering, external works and utilities.

Concept

This 5th extension, like its predecessor, is designed by the architect Dominique Perrault. It includes a third high rise tower of 120m, the lengthening of the internal street, a new 210 place underground parking and the renovation of a number of existing buildings.

Specific features

The tower will be built on one end of Hammes Street which will be entirely relocated after the demolition of the adjacent Jean-Monet (European Commission) Building. The new tower will be 15m higher than the two existing ones and it will be the highest building in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. The lateral stability of the tower will be assured by a central reinforced concrete core.
